What'd It Sell For? is an educational real estate game featuring actual recent home sales in West Seattle, WA. All data is sourced from public MLS records.

Leaderboard

The leaderboard is publicly visible to all players. By submitting your score, you agree to have your name, neighborhood, and score displayed publicly. Do not submit any personal information beyond a display name.

Scores may be removed at any time at the discretion of the site administrator. Attempts to manipulate or spam the leaderboard are prohibited.

Contender Status

A "Contender" is a player who registers their email address at the end of a completed game in order to be eligible for prizes. Only your first registered submission counts as a Contender entry — subsequent submissions using the same email will not be prize-eligible.

By registering as a Contender, you agree to play in good faith. This means completing each game without deliberately abandoning or restarting in order to achieve a more favorable score for prize consideration. Players found to have circumvented this policy may be disqualified at the discretion of the site administrator.

Street View Images

Property images are provided via Google Street View and are subject to Google's Terms of Service. Images may not reflect the current state of the property. Street View positioning is approximate — the camera angle is based on GPS coordinates and may display a neighboring address label, though the correct property is always shown.

The Game

Each game features 15 real recently sold homes in West Seattle. For each home you'll see a Google Street View and property hints. Your job: guess the final sale price before the timer runs out.

Making Your Guess

Choose from five price options on screen. Pick the one you think matches the actual sold price. You can guess multiple times, but speed and accuracy both affect your score.

The Timer

Each round has a 60-second countdown. Your maximum possible score decreases as time passes — the faster you guess correctly, the more points you earn. When time runs out the answer is revealed and you move on.

Wrong Guesses

Each wrong guess costs you 100 points and triggers a 3-second lockout — you won't be able to select another answer until it expires. Choose carefully!

Hints

Some hints are visible immediately: neighborhood, bedrooms, bathrooms, and home style. Additional hints unlock automatically as the timer counts down — square footage, lot size, year built, days on market, and list price. Waiting for more hints may be worth the points trade-off if you're unsure.

Scoring

A perfect first-try guess earns up to 1,000 points depending on how quickly you answered. Each wrong guess deducts 100 points. The minimum you can earn per round is 0 — you can never go negative on a single house.

Streak Bonus

Guess correctly on the first try multiple rounds in a row to build a streak multiplier. Two in a row earns 1.25×, three earns 1.5×, four earns 1.75×, and five or more earns the maximum 2× multiplier. Any wrong guess resets your streak.

After Each Round

After each guess the actual sold price is revealed along with the full listing details — address, list price, sold price, beds, baths, square footage, and more. Tap Next House to keep going.

End of Game

After all 15 homes you'll see a full score summary including your total points, best streak, and how often you guessed correctly on the first try.

Leaderboard & Contender

Submit your score to appear on the live leaderboard. To be eligible for monthly prizes, register as a Contender by entering your email at the end of the game. Only your first registered submission counts for prize consideration.

Street View

Street View images are as accurate as possible. The property in question is always centered in the view.
